Frank, Robert. "How Rising Inequality Has Widened the Justice Gap" The New York Times 31. Aug. 18 https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/31/business/rising-inequality-widened-justice-gap.html

In this article, it goes into the connection to how income inequality will also have effects on how supportive the legal system will act to individuals. Low-income groups have been found almost always be affected by legal issues and these groups will always lack effective legal representation. From these legal affairs, there will be lifelong implications for these poorer groups. People can lose their children, homes, and livelihood. In order to combat this, the Legal Services Corporation was created in 1974. This is an organization that is made to support low-income citizens with civil legal support. However due to underfunding their work has been heavily reduced.

This article related to the topic of poverty or economic inequality because it focuses on how economic inequality can also have effects on the legal opportunity given to citizens. The effects of the poor legal representation will continue to put citizens in cycles of poverty. This means that this is a cause and continuation of poverty.
